Description
The Healthy Food Box Packer will provide high quality direct food services to families with a focus on the food pack areas. The Healthy Food Box Packer will assist with the annual inventory process and other processes as needed. The position is also responsible for preparing and loading the food boxes, assist in maintaining the Healthy Opportunities Program (HOP) work space and warehouse and washing delivery vans as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a valid NC driver’s license with a clean driving record, be able to lift or move up to 30 pounds, and operate a pallet jack when needed. Physical abilities required include managing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Effective verbal and written communication skills, basic math skills, and a self-starting attitude with a strong work ethic are essential. This role requires a high level of customer service focus, the ability to work well in a team, attention to detail, and the capability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Job responsibilities may involve travel and work beyond regular hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
