Position Summary:
The Franciscan School is seeking a Teacher for fourth grade. This position will Instruct students in curriculum areas for fourth grade, with a concentration in delivering Science, Social Studies, and religious instruction.

- Teach fourth-grade social studies, science, and religion, delivering engaging and effective instruction.

- Foster open communication and strong, positive relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and administration.
- Develop meaningful learning opportunities that deepen students' understanding of the mission of our parish and school communities.
- Demonstrate a strong command of content, create cross-curricular connections, and design instructional plans that promote higher-order thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to ensure enriching and successful educational experiences for students.
- Work in partnership with the Instructional Teaching Assistant to support all aspects of classroom instruction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional experience in the area of elementary education
- Candidates must have NC teaching licensure or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure.
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred candidates will have teaching experience with science and social studies in elementary school
- Prior experience in using a variety of classroom technology.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to use innovation and vision in lesson planning to prepare students for academic success in the Diocesan Science and Social Studies curriculums and beyond.
