Hours Per Week: 40 (Full-time)
Key responsibilities / day-to-day job functions:
- Teaching high school students a Catholic theology curriculum
- Access and record students’ progress and provide grades & feedback
- Classroom management
- Lesson planning
- Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and participate in regular meetings
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum level of education: basic Catechist Certificate and a bachelor’s degree in the content area.
- Successful completion of background and reference checks.
- Completion of Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training within 60 days of hire.
- Minimum amount of work experience:
- Years of related work experience: at least 1-3 years.
- Area of related work experience: teaching in a high school environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high school students.
- Experience planning and preparing engaging and content-rich experiences.
- Proficient with technology, specifically Apple products.
