Position Summary:
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking a Resource Teacher to join its team. The Resource Teacher will provide specially designed instruction to students, including participation in collaborative planning meetings, implementation of reading and mathematics interventions, and accommodations. The position will also provide summary reports of testing outcomes to administration.
Key responsibilities:
- Collects data on student performance and reports progress on student goals and outcomes based on the implementation of specially designed instruction
- Administers and interprets both formal, informal, and educational and classroom-based assessment for students to inform instructional decisions
- Selects and adapts materials and resources to assist students with disabilities in accessing the general education curriculum
- Writes reports, maintains required records and follows required procedures and practices
Minimum Requirements:
- BS Special Education or BS Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading
- 3-5 years of experience in Elementary Education/Special Education preferred
- Must have a NC Teaching License
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start.
