Position Summary:
Our Lady of Lourdes School in Raleigh, NC is seeking a part time Spanish Teacher for grades K-6. The Spanish Teacher will perform professional responsibilities including but not limited to planning lessons, preparing instructional materials, serving on faculty committees, communication with parents and administration, and maintaining positive relationships with peers, students, parents, and the administration. This educator is responsible for instilling the values and mission of our parish school into teaching and learning. The individual that fulfills this position will carry out duties as assigned by the principal, including but not limited to the responsibilities below.
Key responsibilities:
- Integrate values and attitudes that guide students in evaluating and applying content in the light of Gospel teachings.
- Implement the educational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school.
- Plan, prepare, teach, and interact with students in a professional way that challenges students to reach their individual potential.
- Contribute to a positive Catholic school culture driven by continuous professional and spiritual growth, the striving for academic excellence, and a commitment to collegial collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- A degree in Spanish Education is required.
- 3 years of education in grade K-6 elementary education.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in content area (or in the process)
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start.
