Position Summary:
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time Teacher Assistant. The teacher assistant will support the lead teacher and share in the responsibilities for the safety and physical well-being of the children, as well as engage the children in play and activities that are developmentally appropriate.
Key responsibilities:
- Integrate values and attitudes that guide students in evaluating and applying content in the light of Gospel teachings.
- Work closely with lead teachers to execute day-to-day classroom operations, including various aspects of instruction, from whole group, to small group, to monitoring the class during independent practice, to supervising students during lunch, recess and times of transition.
- Support the lead teacher and students in the classroom as needed and at the direction of the lead teacher.
- Communicating as needed with parents.
- Contribute to a positive Catholic school culture driven by continuous professional and spiritual growth, the striving for academic excellence, and a commitment to collegial collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 Years of work experience relating to supervision of children
- Employment is contingent upon applicant satisfactorily passing criminal background and reference checks
- Must complete the diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training.
