Position Summary:

St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a Health Room Coordinator. This person would be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the health room, ensure the well being of the students, and providing support in the management of health issues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide basic first aid and emergency care to students or patients as needed.
  • Monitor and document health-related incidents, including injuries, illnesses, and medications administered.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of medical supplies and medications.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed health records in FACTs and ensure privacy and confidentiality
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, and other staff regarding students’ health needs and concerns.
  • Assist in the implementation of health-related policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on health-related matters, such as recognizing symptoms and emergency procedures.
  • Track and monitor student health records, including immunization updates.
  • Complete State Immunization Report.
  • Manage the inventory of medical supplies and reorder as necessary.
  • Understanding of HIPAA or school health regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A high school diploma
  • Certification in First Aid/ CPR.
  • Successfully complete Diocesan background and reference checks
  • Complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in healthcare or school/clinical setting is desirable.
  • Preferred candidates will have a healthcare related certification.
