Position Summary:
St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a Spanish teacher for Grades PreK - 8. This person would be fluent in both Spanish and English, committed to best practices in teaching and learning, and a dynamic educator who supports the school’s mission statement through teaching Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in grades PreK-8 in grade-level appropriate Spanish curriculum from the Diocese of Raleigh and demonstrate mastery of subject-area content.
- Ability to tie together lessons within each grade and build upon those lessons in subsequent years. through cross-curricular connections
- Develop and implement hands-on learning experiences using research-based instruction, integrate technology into Spanish classes as appropriate and design rigorous assessments to assess multiple levels of content and skills..
- Accept the mission of the school as articulated at the diocesan and school level.
- Implement the educational mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the school.
- Plan, prepare, teach, and interact with students in a professional way that challenges students to reach their individual potential.
- Perform professional responsibilities including but not limited to delivering engaging lessons, preparing instructional materials, serving on faculty committees, communicate with parents and administration, and maintain positive relationships with peers, students, parents, and the administration.
- Serve as a missionary disciple and serve the students and faculty in creating missionary disciples within our school community.
- Contribute to a positive Catholic school culture driven by continuous professional and spiritual growth, the striving for academic excellence, and a commitment to collegial collaboration.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, ideally with a concentration in Spanish, or be eligible to obtain it.
- Successfully complete Diocesan background and reference checks.
- Complete Diocese-sponsored Safe Environment Training prior to first day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- NC teaching license, or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure.
- Teaching experience in Spanish.
